The device is designed to charge a pair of AAA batteries that are stored inside the tag with solar energy. The device also has the capability of charging cell phones, PMPs, digital cams and other devices that are directly connected to it.
The AAA batteries can be done in as little as four hours in direct sunlight or eight hours in partial sunlight. The USB connection for other portable devices can also recharge a device in as little as four hours. The device will ship in February for $35.
