Alright, here's what we know so far; Sprint and LG are hosting a 'must see' event at CES 2010 that will end with the launch of a new WiMax smartphone. There have been rumors that this new smartphone will be an Android device, but until now we haven't seen any hard proof. Now Boy Genius has managed to nab a screenshot of Sprint's internal system that shows the Android-packing LG LS680 as an upcoming phone.
Will this device and the one bound for the CES event prove to be one and the same? It's too early to say. We've got no details on the LS680 other than its OS. If this is the device that LG and Sprint intend to show off at CES 2010, it's going to be a fairly powerful handheld. I doubt either company would want their hyped-up flagship WiMax phone to pack anemic hardware.
CES 2010 will start on January 7, 2010 and lasts until the 10th. Of course CES news is already pouring in. Read about it in our CES 2010 section.
