Controlling that HTPC in your living room can be a bit of a challenge. A full keyboard is often too much for the space in most living rooms but a remote control alone isn't ideal for text entry. Lenovo has unveiled a new multimedia remote control that could be ideal for HTPC users.

The remote has a built-in thumb keyboard and a trackball. The remote uses 2.4GHz technology for connectivity from up to 10 meters away. The remote is capable of controlling Windows multimedia content. The remote connects to the PC via USB.

Compatibility is with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7. The remote sells for $59.99 and is set to ship in 13 business days according to the Lenovo site.
