Nexto has announced its latest portable backup device called the Nexto eXtreme. The device is designed to allow users to back up videos and photos wherever they may be. That means if they are shooting video or pictures in the field the video can be stored on the eXtreme device to free up space on the memory card for more video and photos.

The device is designed to allow the user to back up any camera or camcorder without needing a laptop by using a built-in memory card reader or directly connecting via USB-OTG. The device will also check the integrity of your files.

Nexto promises that the eXtreme device is eight times faster than most comparable products on the market and can back up 1GB of data in 40 seconds. A single battery charge provides enough power for backing up 60GB of data. An auxiliary battery allows for up to 140GB of backups. The device comes in capacities of 160GB to 500GB and can be expanded to 2TB. Prices start at $235 with cords and a carry case.
