Google Announces Android (Nexus One?) Event, Jan. 5th

Buy Nexus One from Amazon Cyber Monday and Black Friday Now

Things rarely work out quite this neatly for us. It appears we've just received a hefty dose of confirmation for a rumor that leaked out earlier today. Gizmodo found evidence that the Nexus One will be selling for $530 unsubsidized, $180 with T-Mo starting January 5th. Now All Things Digital reports that Google has will be hosting an Android press briefing at its headquarters on January 5th. Could this event mark the official unveiling of the Nexus One, followed by the start of sales worldwide? I sure as hell hope so. Almost every Google phone rumor we've heard in the last few weeks has given January 5th as the start-date. What else could Google possibly want to show us right before CES 2010?
