Google is officially announcing the Nexus One on Tuesday, January 5th. Hands-on reviews of the Nexus One Android handset have now appeared; many tidbits have been surfacing from Google employees who have been testing the Nexus One over the last couple of weeks.
Engadget got a Nexus One phone of their own, while the NexusOneBlog has published a Nexus One review from an anonymous guest blogger dubbed 3rd-geer.
Engadget's review is still in the works for the most part, but you can see hands-on photos and a good video that shows the functionality and feel of the Nexus One.
The NexusOneBlog review has more detail and comparisons to other phones like the iPhone and the Motorola Droid.
Overall the Nexus One looks faster and more stylish than any other Android phone, but it is not mind blowing. The big deal about the Nexus One will be the business model behind it. If Google succeeds in convincing lots of customers to purchase the phone unlocked it will change the carrier game in the U.S.
