CES 2010 is opening officially on Thursday, January 7th, but in reality it already has started weeks ago. Our CES 2010 section is already full of CES 2010 announcements and rumors that have been flowing already. Today the intensity and caliber of announcements will be increasing and reaching its high point on the 7th.

Our aim this year for our CES 2010 coverage is completeness. We will try to report about every relevant announcement from the show. Daily analyses of the CES highlights will help you find your way through the huge amount of expected new product releases.

The CES organizers (CEA) have set up new TechZones that very well reflect the new trends of the CES 2010. The new trends respectively TechZones include eBooks, 3D, Femto, Lifestyle Gadgets, Mobile DTV, Netbooks and Safe Driver.

Android will be a big topic at the CES. Google will amplify this with their Android event that will be happening on Tuesday.

Because Apple dropped out of Macworld the show is not scheduled to collide with CES anymore. Macworld 2010 takes place on February 9th to the 13th. There still will be Apple related announcements this week because of the new iLounge Pavilion at the CES. The iLounge Pavilion is featuring all things iPod, iPhone and Mac related.

Apple will most likely unveil the Apple Tablet aka iSlate on January 26th, but CES 2010 will see the unveiling of tons of Tablet style computers before.
