In the future, there will be no more cumbersome power cords. We'll charge everything wirelessly, and it will be a beautiful thing. While we're still years off from that glorious future, you can get a tiny sample of such luxury now. Powermat is about to expand their line of wireless charging devices with a whole new generation of products. These new devices will be shown off at CES 2010. First, there's the Powermat Powerpak receiver, which allows customers to charge wirelessly without altering their device at all. For the iPhone 3G/3GS there is even a silicone case receiver, and an extended battery case receiver that charges your phone and extends its battery life. Next up is the Powermat Portable 1X, 2X and 3X. These new mats come in a wider variety of prices and sizes in order to accomodate everything from one-gadget bachelors to multi-cellphone families. Powermat will also be offering Prepack Bundles, which include both a charging mat and a receiver. Example deals include the Powermat 1X with iPhone receiver case, or Powermat 2x with Powercube. Powermat is also bringing a netbook mat and car charger to CES 2010. The Powermat 3X netbook is able to charge both a netbook and up to 2 low-power devices simultaneously. The mat folds into a carrying case, which allows it to be as portable as your netbook. The car charger allows you to simply drop your devices onto the charger and drive.
