The Viliv S10 Blade has been "close to launch" for months now, but it looks like we're finally close to seeing it in stores. Viliv has sent out a press release, announcing the upcoming release of both the S10 and its smaller, MID cousin, the N5. Both of these devices will be at CES 2010, so we're sure to see several videos of them in action. Information on pricing or availability has yet to be released, but it can't be too far off now.
First off; the S10 Blade. This device has a 10.1" multitouch screen, most likely resistive. It packs either an Atom 1.6 GHz or 2.0 GHz processor, and the OS will be Windows 7 Home Premium. The Blade has SSD capacity options of either 32 GB, 64 GB, or 128 GB. It packs WiFi, 3G and 4G capability, Bluetooth 2.0, a camera, 2 USB hosts and 1 USB slave, SDHC slot, and stereo speakers. It brags 10 hours of battery life, 7 for movie playback. Then we've got the N5. This little MID is much smaller than the Blade, with only a 4.8" touchscreen and an Atom Z520 1.33 GHz processor. Its OS is also Win 7 (Starter or Home Premium) and it has a 32 GB SSD, plus 1 GB of RAM. The N5 has WiFi b/g and HSPA/EVDO/WiMax/TD-SCDMA connectivity options. It has a front mounted 1.3 MP camera, a microSD slot, and a full QWERTY keyboard. The battery provides around 5 hours of life.
In addition to announcing these two new devices, Viliv also announced that all of their current devices (the X70, S5 and S7) will now run Windows 7.
