USB 3.0 has the potential to change life for many of us. No more will we be shackled to hour long file transfer sessions. No more will backing up our machine to an external drive be a nightmarish process! Speed beyond our wildest dreams is just around the horizon. Or, if you've got some technical know-how and the desire to be ahead of the curve, it could be just an Internet order away.
SlashGear reports that Active Media has just launched a pair of cheap Express and PCIe cards that add USB 3.0 ports to the machine they are installed in. Both devices have expanded power-inputs and are backwards compatible with USB 2.0. You can pick both or either up today on Amazon.com. The PCIe card is $35 while the Express Card costs $40.
