The new software for the Wi-Fire adapter allows the device to work with Mac computers and gives the device the same look and feel they are used to with the Apple AirPort. The Wi-Fire adapter is an integrated directional antenna and a highly sensitive receiver along with software to connect users to WiFi networks when they want, where they want.

The adapter promises to be able to connect a user to a wireless network up to 1,000 feet from the router. The device claims to provide three times the range of other 802.11 adapters.
