The ViewSonic VPC08 is an odd little device. Cloned In China describes it as an MID/phone hybrid that runs on Windows XP. The phone runs on a separate operating system from the rest of the device. The ViewSonic combines a feature phone with an MID, which is kind of a clumsy way to design a product.
In terms of specs, the VPC08 does alright. It has an 800 MHz Atom Z500 processor, an MTK 6235 chipset, a 4.3" touchscreen for XP and a 2" display for the phone, 512 MB of RAM, and an 8 GB SSD. It has a 2 MP camera, WAPI, 3G, and an estimated $705 price tag. This thing definitely wins points for originality, if not practicality.
