Verizon Wireless has just announced the imminent availability of the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus. Both of these devices will be available for purchase on January 25th. The Pre Plus will cost $149.99 after a $100 rebate and a 2-year service contract. The Pixi Plus will be $99 after a $100 rebate.
In addition, when a rebate for a Pixi or Pre Plus is filed, you automatically get a new Palm Pixi Plus for free. This deal is good until February 14th. All devices can act as a 3G mobile hotspot that can be shared by up to five people. That service costs $40 for 5/GB per month.
This is a pretty great deal for families looking to nab smartphones for all. The Pre Plus is one of the best smartphones out there (WebOS is a thing of beauty) while the Pixi Plus is a very solid kid's mobile phone. The BOGO deal won't last long. If you want to take advantage of it, I'd recommend rolling down to the nearest Best Buy and trying to get this deal without the hassle of sending in a rebate.
