CBS only had a couple of Super Bowl spots left to sell a couple days ago. Video game giant Electronic Arts has apparently snagged one of these last minute Super Bowl ad slots.
Ad Age updated their very comprehensive list of Super Bowl 2010 advertisers and now added EA as one of them.
I could not find any other report or announcement from EA that supports this. The entry only says that EA will run at least one spot and that Wieden & Kennedy is the agency.
Update:
EA Super Bowl Ad is official and features Dante's Inferno.
Video games ads have been missing in the Super Bowl 2010 lineup so far. What EA will promote is hard to say. Could be sports related or any upcoming video game title from EA. The closest EA release to the Super Bowl (Feb. 7th) is Dante's Inferno that will ship on February 9th. See all upcoming EA titles on Amazon.
Just like last year, we will be featuring our Super Bowl for Geeks Guide for the Super Bowl 2010. Of course the Super Bowl for Geeks Guide is all about the Super Bowl Ads and not the game.
You can follow the Super Bowl 2010 Advertisers in our Twitter Super Bowl List.
