A lack of any sort of syncing option is one of the weak points of the Android platform. Thankfully, it looks like T-Mo is getting ready to seal that chink in Android's belly armor. (TechCrunch) They're teaming up with a company called doubleTwist, who hopes to become the preferred Android syncing application.
Doubletwist will launch with the Fender Edition myTouch 3G, and it should make its way pre-loaded onto other T-Mobile Android smartphones. While T-Mobile's version of this app will not come with support for the Amazon MP3 store, users who download the app from doubleTwist's website will get the full version.
If you want to be able to sync up your music and media in an iTunes-like fashion, doubleTwist is just about your only real choice for Android. We'll see how well it ends up working out over the next few weeks.
