The camera is also said to be able to withstand drops from up to ten feet high and to operate in freezing conditions up to 14F as well as being dustproof. The cover on the rear LCD is 1.3 times thicker than the TS1. The optics of the camera are protected against shock and bumps with a supplementary damper.
Panasonic will ship the TS2 with a removable silicone jacket to protect the body of the camera from scratches. The camera shutter can release in 0.005 second and the auto focus can lock onto a subject in 0.24 seconds for fast shots. The lens is a 28mm wide-angle unit and it has 4.6x optical zoom for greater shooting range. Other features include Face Recognition, Intelligent Scene Selector and more. Pricing and availability are unannounced at this time.
