Smartphone launches are frequently plagued with rumors of bugs and glitches. The launch of the Palm Pre Plus is no exception. PreCentral (via BGR) has the details. First off, Pre Plus users can't send MMS messages when the WiFi is on. This only appears to be an issue for Verizon customers. To work past it, turn off WiFi before sending an MMS.
This next problem is a bit more serious. It seems that the Plus is having issues with accurate GPS detection, sometimes causing it to use the less-accurate aGPS for location navigation. Some owners have found that activating VZ Navigator and than closing it before it prompts you for a service fee will work to wake the GPS up. Pre Plus users on Bell, as well as Verizon, have reported this issue. This isn't just a carrier-specific glitch, which means Palm needs to fix it. Hopefully soon.
