Take this one with a grain of salt-but just a grain. We've heard several rumors about a Zune phone that's expected to launch at the Mobile World Congress. Now a Spanish website, MuyComputer claims that the Zune phone is confirmed for an unveiling at the MWC. Since this device will sport a Tegra (Tegra II?) processor, Microsoft will be making their big presentation alongside Nvidia.
The Z-phone is expected to have a 480 x 272 screen, WinMo 7, and HDMI out. The weight is listed as 70 grams. It is possible that Microsoft will end up launching multiple different Z-phones at the event. We could see a low-end solution, an expensive media phone, and a mid-range browsing device.
While all of this is still just rumor, MuyComputer's claims gel with everything else we've heard about the Zune phone to date. I'd put good odds on this all coming true in February.
