Here's some good news from the LA Times. Since AT&T and Apple have decided to allow 3G VOIP on the iPhone, Skype will soon be releasing a 3G version of its popular client. They say the app will be ready soon and provide users with "CD-quality sound", at least for Skype-to-Skype calls.
The App will also have a color indicator to let users know what quality of signal they are getting. 3G Skype will be a HUGE boon to many users. It will allow anyone who wants too to save minutes and avoid long-distance charges by making their calls through Skype. It's anyone's guess as to how Apple managed to get AT&T on board with this one. Maybe they're just desperate to please Apple?
