As reportedA the Toyota Prius has issues with the brakes. Today in the news is also Ford that also offers now to check and fix the braking system on their hybrid model.
According to Tech-On, Toyota announced in a press-conference in Japan that the ABS is responsible for the brake issues on the Prius.
Toyota says that drivers only encounter the weak braking effect when ABS is activated.
To solve the problem, Toyota is shortening the time from the activation of the ABS to the activation of the hydraulics brake.
Apparently the Lexus HS250h hybrid vehicle and the SAI hybrid sedan use the same ABS system and should also be checked.
