The VW Super Bowl 2010 commercial is based on the classic game that kids used to play back in the original Beetle's heyday called "Punch Buggy" (or "Slug Bug"), where the first person to see a Beetle would yell, "Punch Bug" and playfully slug his or her friend.
To support the fun campaign, VW has retained the original inventor of Slug Bug, Sluggy Patterson. We already featured his first interview a couple days ago, where Sluggy explains how he invented the game.
Volkswagen has since released three new videos featuring Sluggy Patterson. In the three spots Sluggy talks about the Punch Dub rules (they are rather complicated), his blob (blog) and Tweeter (Twitter).
The Volkswagen Super Bowl 2010 commercial has not been revealed yet, but besides the Punch Dub game, actor and comedian Tracy Morgan makes a cameo. Watch the new Sluggy videos below. What Sluggy Patterson is for VW, the Green Police is for Audi. Do not miss these funny videos either.
Just like last year, I4U News is featuring the Super Bowl for Geeks Guide. Of course the Super Bowl
2010 for Geeks Guide is all about the Super Bowl Commercials and not the game. The Super Bowl XLIV takes place on Sunday, February 7th in Florida in the Sun Life Stadium.
