Ahh...summer in Texas. The sheer number of new-model Volkswagons around during my youth meant that my shoulder stayed bruised until I was old and fast enough to win. I grew into a master of the slug-bug game, as we called it.

Volkswagon's new superbowl commercial brought me back to those simpler moments for a little while. The long car rides, the constant dull aching pain, and the thrill of competition with my older cousins and anyone else who happened to be standing nearby at the time. Here's to teaching a bright new generation of kids to punch each other constantly!
