Atlona has all sorts of adapters, cables, and converters that help computer users to convert one type of output to another to get the best image quality possible. Atlona has unveiled its latest converter/scaler today called the AT-HDVieW. The device gets all the power it needs from the USB port, eliminating another AC adapter fighting for a plug behind your desk.

The HDVieW is designed to take the audio and video from a PC or laptop and convert it into a HDMI output for HD resolutions up to 1080p. the device allows the support of any Pc resolution up to the native resolution of the connected display at 1080p. Resolutions of up to 1920 x 1200 are supported.

The converter has pigtails on the PC side for VGA, Audio, and USB connections. The HDMI cable included with the kit is 6-feet long. The adapter measures 4.4" W x 2.5" D x 1" H and weighs less than half a pound. This little device might be a great way to get video from your computer or laptop to the HDTV in the living room if your machine lacks an integrated HDMI output. It is set to ship on the February 22nd for $119.
