Puma and Sagem Wireless have just shot off a press release announcing the imminent launch of their new Puma Phone. This smartphone isn't quite like any other device you've seen. The back is one big solar cell, complete with a charge indicator. There is a 2.8” capacitive QVGA touchscreen, 3.2 MP camera with LED flash and 6X zoom, and Bluetooth. VGA video call is supported.
The Puma Phone is designed to be an active phone for active people, hence the solar cell and array of useful addons. This thing packs in GPS, a compass, pedometer, GPS tracker, and stopwatch. It can handle 5 hours, 40 minutes of talk time or 140 minutes of video talk time. The Puma Phone will launch across Europe and be available in the Puma Online Store starting in April, 2010.
