You're about to go out on vacation for a month, and you want a way to bring the Internet with you. Signing up for a long-term 3G plan with a carrier would be way too expensive. You don't need a data plan while you're lounging about at home. What on earth is a geek to do?
Try the 3G Broadband bullet? (via SlashGear) This non-contract service provides you with a USB modem that won't cost you a dime unless you want to buy one. Just pay a $100 deposit and give it back when you're finished with your vacation. If you want to pay for the modem outright, it costs $200.
The 3G Broadband Bullet operates at between 7.2 Mbps and 12 Mbps. It has a microSD slot. $50/month buys you 5 GB of data, while $60/month covers the unlimited data plan. Again, there's no contract whatsoever required.
