The Viliv S10 Blade has a lot going for it. Sexy (inch thick!) design, solid hardware specs, and a build that emphasizes the 'tablet' part of the 'tablet-book' concept without shedding the keyboard. We reported yesterday that Dynamism is carrying the S10 Blade's basic version for $699. Now information has leaked out that gives us the details behind every price point.
SlashGear reports that a UMPC Portalreader managed to work out the pricing through some expert Googling. The best version of the Blade, with 3G, Windows 7, a 2.0 GHz processor and 64 GB SSD, costs $1079. The 'step-down' version, with a 1.6 GHz processor, 32 GB SSD, and 3G, costs $889.
Ouch. That's a lot to pay, even for a device with 10 hours of battery life and a 10.1” multitouch screen. Anyone still interested?

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
