Both feature the Exilim Engine 5.0 system for low power consumption and better image quality. The EX-S7 has a 12.1MP image sensor with 3X optical zoom. The rear LCD is a 2.7-inch unit and the camera can record 720p HD video. The camera is able to store images to SD and SDHC memory cards.
The EX-Z35 has 12.1MP resolution and a 3x optical zoom as well. The camera is only 0.8-inches thick and has face detection and more. It can record video at resolutions up to 848 x 480. The Z35 has a special YouTube movie mode that makes uploading easy with included software.
