The dirt-cheap tablet wars are heating up. FirstView now has the cheapest Android tablet in the running. They showed off their PC607V at CeBIT 2010. This 7” tablet packs a resistive touchscreen that seems to have good (not great) responsiveness. It runs either Windows CE or Android 1.4.
FirstView hopes to get Android 2.0 or 2.1 working on this little tablet before launch. It is currently priced at $95, and we've got no other details on the hardware. It is WiFi capable, and may be able to handle 3G (probably through a dongle). More details will hit as this poor-man's iPad edges closer to launch.
