The first time Microvision talked about its Show WX pico projector was back at CES in 2009. The company has more recently unveiled a laser version of the pico projector that some have been eagerly waiting for. The Show WX Laser Pico Projector is finally available in America.

The projector is going to ship in the US on March 24 at a price of $549. That price is quite a bit more expensive than the converted price the projector has been going for in Europe. Microvision will also be offering a special limited edition version of the projector.

The special version will include a limited edition insignia, certificate of authenticity, Show WX VGA dock and other accessories that don’t come with the plain projector. Those accessories and the dock had better be good; they add about $450 to the price of the projector at $999. The projector has a WVGA resolution, high contrast, and a scant 100 lumens of brightness producing image sup to 200-inches if the room is dark enough.
