The man who introduced the world to The Godfather and Apocalypse Now has signed onto a new project - promoting professional-grade screen projectors.
SIM2, a maker of very high-end projectors based in Italy, announced the partnership today. Coppola will be featured in upcoming promotional materials for the company.
"Mr. Coppola, like SIM2, is a perfectionist always striving to be at the forefront of his craft. His productions are not just movies; they are real masterpieces. At SIM2, we share the same vision which is why we both chose to walk this path together," said SIM2.
Coppola has become a legitimate fan of the company brand. "I have owned many projectors in my life: SIM2 is now in both my studios and my home," he said in a statement.
