Dell has just sent out a press release announcing the launch of the Precision M4500, which they claim to be the world's most powerful 15.6” mobile workstation. It contains an optional Intel Core i7-920XM Quad Core processor Extreme Edition, as well as Core i7 and i5 processors linked together with 1066 MHz and 1333 MHz memory.
Customers will also have the option of taking an Nvidia Quadro FX 1800M or Quadro FX 880M graphics card with 1 GB of dedicated memory. There's an optional 3 MP camera with Gobi 2.0 mobile broadband support and the now-ubiquitous multitouch trackpad. The M4500 weighs a hefty six pounds and supports Windows 7, Vista, and XP, as well as Red Hat 64-bit Linux.
