Sony clearly hopes that Playstation Move will prove itself the savior of profits for their gaming division. It's too early now to tell if that will be the case. Today will see a slew of announcements for new games that promise to take full advantage of Move. IUP.com reports that one of these new games will be Sports Champions.
This game is actually composed of a bunch of mini games. There will be Gladiator Duel, which uses two Move controllers to act as sword/shield in a 1v1 fighting game. Sony has rolled in all sorts of nifty little features, like allowing you to 'hide' one controller behind your back in order to perform a taunt animation on-screen.
Sports Champions will also include a table tennis game. The Move controller's high degree of accuracy is said to allow some very elaborate trick shots. An archery game of some sort was also spotted at GDC 2010, and is believed to be another one of these mini-games. Sports Champions has not been given an official launch date, but it is likely to launch at the same time as the Move controller.
