With the Apple Store being down this morning and today being the day set for pre-orders to start I have been spamming the F5 key waiting for the store to open back up. A bit ago the store came back up and you can now pre-order any of the iPad versions. Only the WiFi models will ship on April 3, all other versions are set to ship later in April.
The entire order process is quick and easy. I have never purchased from the Apple Store before so I sat up a new account and the entire order process only took about five minutes. Apple is offering free shipping on the iPad, but you will have to pay taxes since the company has business operating in every state I know of. Rumors of short supply have been making their rounds so if you want one I suggest you pre-order soon. You can also add official accessories to your order, I grabbed the keyboard too.
