You've got to hand it to Dell; they've gotten a lot better at making good looking laptops over the last few years. The Vostro 3000 is a slender, lithe beauty of a machine with a great cherry red finish. It is designed to be rugged enough for small business use. This Vostro can have up to 6 GB of RAM, plus an Intel Core series processor.
The Vostro 3000 comes in a couple of different versions. You can get it at 13.3” with an internal optical drive, 14” with up to 8 hours of battery life (Vostro 3400) or 17” with an optional Core i7 quad core processor (3700). The 3700 can also take a dedicated 1 GB Nvidia GeForce graphics card and has an HDMI port.
These new Vostros are available in the US and Asia starting today, and will be out in Europe and Latin America starting March 16.
