Blu-ray players are getting cheaper and cheaper. If you thought the $99 models that sold this Black Friday were an impressive deal, just wait until you see these new $70 models. Fudzilla reports that Target is now selling the Phillips BDP5010 Profile 2.0 Blu-ray/DivX player for $69.98. That is the lowest price you're going to see on a Blu-ray player for quite a while.
This Target deal is just the first of these products to hit that price point. Other retailers like Wal-Mart will not take long to follow. Lower prices on Blu-ray players are a big benefit to everyone, consumers and content manufacturers alike. More players in houses means more Blu-ray purchases, which is where the real money lies anyway.
