Archos is much better known right now for their line of Android tablets. Diversification is the key to health, though, which is why Archos keeps trying to break into the notebook racket. NetbookChoice reports that the Archos A13PS will be coming in April 2010. They've come upon leaked promotional material that gives away the date, and the processor.
This ultraportable will be one of the first notebooks to pack a dual-core Atom D510 processor. Normally, we see the D510 in nettops and similar devices. Apparently Archos decided it would work better than a ULV processor. It's possible that this ultraportable will also pack Ion or Ion 2 at launch, which would make it a fair bit more attractive.
So, dual-core 1.6 GHz processor, 13.3" display, and Windows 7 Home Premium. Sounds like a decent mix, so far. Hopefully Archos will be ready to 'wow' us once April rolls around.
