Bang & Olufsen, the Danish company that offers $1,100 landline phones and $11,000 speakers, today announced the availability of a new line of overpriced LED HDTVs. The BeoVision 10 series of TV sets retail for up to $8,000.
The BeoVision 10 is a 40" LED set that is designed to look like a piece of artwork when it's turned off and is available in a variety of colors.
"We expect to recruit many new customers with BeoVision 10," said B&O president Zean Nielsen.
The MSRP for the TV itself is $6,248, and customers can walk out of a B&O store with the entire package (wall bracket, remote, and anti-reflective screen) for $7675. Yeah, they always have odd prices.
The new line will be put in all Bang & Olufsen store locations by the summer.
