Back in my day, we had one core, and we learned to love it. Now iBUYPOWER has sent out a press release announcing the launch of four Paladin gaming rigs that all pack SIX core processors. These machines are powered by the Intel Core i7 980X Extreme Edition processor, and are billed as being "extremely" overclockable.
The four Paladin models use ATI Radeon and Nvidia GeForce high-def video cards. The Paladin F950, F970 and XLC V3 each have 12 GB of DDR3 memory and each pack at least 1 TB of storage space. They all pack Blu-ray drives. The F970 and XLC V3 also have an 80 GB SSD and Windows 7 Ultimate. They all also have liquid CPU cooling.
The Paladins start at $2,159 and go up-up-up from there on out.
