MEDL Technology has unveiled a new 13-inch portable LED backlit LCD for computers at the DEMO conference in California. The screen is designed to be carrier on the road for use as a second or third display to make mobile workers more efficient.

The screen weighs 2.2pounds and is powered by internal batteries making it usable away from an AC outlet. The screen can be connected to Mac or Windows machines and needs only a USB cable.

The screen has WXGA resolution and the internal batteries are good for up to five hours. The maker promises that the entire screen can be set up and in use in about ten seconds. Pricing and availability are unknown.
