Synology has announced a new DiskStation NAS server called the DS410. The device supports both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch HDDs and has an average read speed of 110MB/s with a RAID 5 setup. The device has four drive bays for storage.

The device uses a 1.06GHz CPU and has 512MB of memory inside. It measures 168mm x 184mm x 230mm and can support up to 8TB of internal storage. Features include wake on LAN/WAN, power recovery, and more.

The DS410 can be used for data backups, file server, iTunes Server, a web station, and a surveillance station among other uses. Synology reports that he NAS device needs only 56W of power when in operation and is RoHS compliant for use in Europe.
