Windows Phone 7 series devices cannot swap out their memory cards, which is a bit of a bummer. However, that doesn't mean these new smartphones will be lacking for storage space. Gearlog reports that SanDisk has a new embeddable memory card that can hold up to 64 GB of storage. This card has uses beyond WP7S devices, of course-any OEM could stick it in a phone.
Remember when 64 GB was an unthinkable amount of storage space? Well now it's possible to fit that much data (dozens of libraries worth of books, thousands and thousands of songs) onto a little card roughly the size of a thumbnail. Incredible. Kudos to SanDisk.
