There's the Android Market, the iPhone App Store, Blackberry's own store...and coming next week there will be the V Cast Store. Verizon is set to launch its own mobile app storefront.
According to a Reuters report, the biggest mobile service provider in the US has teamed with Vodafone to create the digital marketplace, where users will be able to pay for all their apps through their cell phone bill.
Instead of relying on something like Android Market, where customers need to buy each app with a credit card, leading to a bunch of small transactions, being able to tack all those purchases to a monthly bill will be ideal for Verizon subscribers.
The V Cast Store will launch March 29th. Details are still scarce at this time.
