We all knew when USB 3.0 first started to be unveiled that the tech would replace USB 2.0 and would soon be crammed inside all of our computers and complete hardware. Asus has announced that it is the first manufacturer to offer USB 3.0 across multiple product lines.

The company has USB 3.0 inside its notebooks and a few netbooks and it offers the new faster ports in a variety of its new mainboards. The use of USB 3.0 will only continue to grow and eventually we will not see many USB 2.0 ports around.

Right now most of the gear we are seeing only offers a single USB 3.0 port and several USB 2.0 ports. That will change as the USB 3.0 controller tech improves and becomes cheaper to implement.
