EA announced Battlefield 1943 on Xbox Live Arcade last summer and the game was a success right away. EA has announced that the game has hit another milestone and set a record in the process.

EA reports that 1943 has now sold 1M units on Xbox Live Arcade and it's the fastest title to ever hit that mark. The game is available to purchase on the Xbox for 1200MS points working out to $15.

EA also reports that the game will soon be available for the PC and it is already available on the PS3. I will be glad to see the game come to the PC that is where shooters belong for me.
