Those of you who need a good, outdoorsy netbook are about to have another option. SlashGear reports that the Asus Eee PC 1001PX will be coming soon with a matte screen. This new product page points towards the upgraded 10.1” 1024x600 screen.
Aside from the glare-resistant screen, this Eee PC is fairly bog-standard. It sports an N450 1.6 GHz processor, up to 2 GB of RAM, 250 GB of storage, and 2 USB 2.0 slots. It packs ethernet, VGA, audio in/out, and a memory card reader. WiFi is b/g and Bluetooth 2.1 is optional. Expect this netbook to run around $300-400 when it launches.
