Here it comes! The iPad will be a real, touch-able product starting this weekend. Its launch will also open the floodgates on a horde of new iPad competitors, many of whom will be launching this summer and fall. At least two of these competing devices will come from Asus, according to this Forbes interview with Asus chairman Jonney Shih.

Shih stated that “at least two” Asus tablet PCs are due out in the “coming months”. The Computex trade show in June is a likely place for their unveiling. One of these tablets will run on Google software (either Android or Chrome) and the other will work on the Windows platform. Content will be the focus of both tablets, especially the Google one. That means (at the very least) 720p media playback is a good bet.
