Two days ago, we reported on a slip-up on Microsoft's Zune Web site, where it appeared to accidentally leak mention of a 64GB Zune model. Today, Microsoft confirmed that the high-capacity device is indeed on the way.
The latest addition to the Zune HD line-up is the 64GB model, which will be priced at around $350. To complement this announcement, Microsoft has also officially lowered the estimated retail price down of its other units.
The 32GB model went from $290 to $270, and the 16GB is now $200, down from $220.
The 64GB unit will be available in platinum, black, blue, green, magenta, purple, or red. According to Microsoft, that capacity is enough for 16,000 songs of over 20 hours of high-def video.
