The iPad's wicked battery life has been praised by every reviewer who has gotten their hands on one. Over the next few days, we're sure to hear detailed stories of how long the WiFi iPad can last under a variety of circumstances. While the 3G iPad is still a while off, iPadInsider reports that Apple has just posted more battery info for it up on their website.

The iPad's spec page has been quietly changed. A new line, “Up to 9 hours surfing the web using 3G data network” now gives us an idea of how much power the 3G modem zaps. It's worth nothing that in-use iPad battery life reports estimate closer to 12 hours of browsing (out of 10 hours promised by Apple) so it is very possible that the 3G pad will actually be able to handle 10-11 hours of browsing.
