Nokia hasn't had the best of luck with new products lately. Despite being a geek dream machine, the N900 didn't manage to capture any substantial market share. Now Rodman Renshaw analyst Ashok Kumar is predicting that Nokia has another new product line in the offing. The Finnish company isn't about to just bow out of the tablet wars without a fight.
TheStreet reports that the Nokia tablet could hit as early as this Fall. It will likely be placed under Apple's $500 iPad in price. This may just be unsupported analyst babble, but I'd be very surprised if these predictions don't come true.
Last Fall, when netbooks were huge, Nokia released the Booklet 3G. Tablets are to 2010 what netbooks were to 2009. The market is new, and Nokia is too big a player to let the opportunity of getting in on the ground floor of the tablet boom pass them by.
