Skype, the good old days are over. You're about to be in the fight of your life. TechCrunch has received confirmation from their sources that Google has built a Voice desktop application. This app will be able to make and receive calls. If you've got a Google Voice number, you'll be able to use your desktop PC as your home phone!
The application is in internal testing right now. That means we can expect a wider launch of this application sometime in the near future. 'Dogfooding' is usually one of the last stages before release. The Nexus One spent only a few weeks in that phase before launch. Hopefully the same will be true for Voice!
